Nijhuis-Thecogas – Biogas generation is the division in the Nijhuis Water Technology Group dedicated to Anaerobic Digestion (AD) and Renewable Energy.

Energy from biogas
Biogas generation is an economically and ecologically significant way to produce alternative energy called biofuel. Fossil fuels are finite and pollute the environment to a great extent, unlike the biomass-based resource-saving alternative. The resource is renewable and its usage produces only as much CO2 as the plants have absorbed before.

With more than 20 years experience and having built more than 30 plants, Nijhuis-Thecogas has been the driver behind the development of AD technologies. Projects have been successfully delivered, installed and commissioned in Europe, Africa, Indonesia and India.

The projects built to date have a capacity range from 200 kW up to 2Mw

Feeding bio natural gas into the gas network
Biogas is normally utilized directly at its point of origin - in a block-type thermal power station. However, supplying biogas directly into the public natural gas grid requires biogas refinement to the quality of natural gas. As efficient as it is flexible, the bio-natural gas can be directed to the place where it is needed to be efficiently used to generate electricity and heat.
